Former Jets defenceman Tobias Enstrom signs in Sweden

Former Winnipeg Jets defenceman Tobias Enstrom has signed a one-year deal with MODO of Sweden’s second-tier HockeyAllsvenskan, according to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston.

Enstrom, 33, had played his entire 11-year NHL career with the Jets franchise, suiting up for the Atlanta Thrashers in his first four seasons before following the team to Winnipeg in 2011.

The Nordingra, Sweden n ative has skated in 719 career regular-season games for the franchise, racking up 54 goals and 308 points along with 422 penalty minutes. Enstrom has also played in 15 post-season contests, including 11 in Winnipeg’s run to the Western Conference Final this past spring.
